2022

  • Appeared in 43 games and started 29 in the outfield.
  • Made 18 starts in left field, seven in right field, and four more in center field.
  • Batted .234 with four doubles, a home run, and 14 RBI.
  • Broke out with a 3-for-4, four RBI performance against Bowling Green (Feb. 26).
  • Enjoyed another 3-for-4 outing against Kent State (March 5), including his first home run while driving in two runs.
  • Had seven hits and a .438 batting average during a four-game hit streak started against Kent State.
  • Pieced together another four-game hit streak in March at Saint Louis (March 19-20) and at Belmont (March 25-26).
  • Came off the bench to supply a two-run double in the SIUE series finale (April 23).
  • Returned to the starting lineup at Toledo (May 1) and had a hit in four of his next six games.

2021

  • Played in 36 games and started 17, splitting time at the two corner outfield spots during first season at Austin Peay.
  • Finished his rookie season batting .256 with seven RBI, six walks and four stolen bases.
  • In 18 OVC appearances, batted .313 (10-for-32).
  • Led the Govs with seven base hits off the bench, batting .333 with a double in 21 at-bats.
  • Provided game-tying sacrifice fly in the 11th inning of Govs victory against SIUE (April 23).
  • Pieced together a four-game hit streak off the bench, April 2-6, going 4-for-7 (.571)
  • Provided Govs first runs in Army series finale (2/28) with a two-run single, later adding a double and a run in the ninth inning.

Prep Career

  • Played outfield for his father Billy Wagner at Miller School of Albemarle.
  • Played 91 games during prep career, batting .361 with seven home runs and 70 RBI and helped the Mavericks win the Virginia Independent Schools Athletics Association Division 2 state title in three consecutive seasons (2017-2019).
  • Batted .437 with six home runs and 10 stolen bases during his junior season in 2019.
  • Named VISAA Division 2 Player of the Year in 2019 and was a First Team All-State selection.

  • Jeremy Ryan Wagner is the son of Billy and Sara Wagner.
