2024 | Austin Peay

• Appeared on the mound 14 times for the Govs during the season, starting nine games, and posting an 8.91 ERA over 33.1 innings.
• Finished the season with a 2-2 record after striking out 34 batters and holding batters to a .278 batting average.
• Made his season debut against Western Illinois (February 18) where he started and went 4.1 innings striking out a season-high six batters.
• Started and threw 3.0 innings against UT Rio Grande Valley (March 3) striking out five and allowing two earned runs on three hits.
• Had his longest outing versus Stetson (May 4) where he went 5.0 innings to start the game, striking out one batter and allowing just one earned run.
• Earned his first win of the season against Florida Gulf Coast (April 21) after throwing 3.2 innings of relief work for the Govs striking out three and allowing three earned runs.
• Finished his regular season with his second win of the year against North Alabama (May 17) after striking out three batters and allowing just one hit over 2.1 shutout innings of relief.

2023 | Arizona State

• Was a member of the Arizona State program in the fall before transferring to Austin Peay.

2023 | Cal State Fullerton

• Made six appearances totaling 5.0 innings pitched.
• Provided a scoreless inning of relief against Utah (March 7).
• Struck out two batters to help maintain a shutout at UC Irvine (March 17).

2022 | Cal State Fullerton

• Made 23 relief appearances totaling 17.0 innings pitched.
• Went two innings without allowing a run against Kansas State (March 1).
• Struck out two batters in two innings of work against San Diego (April 26).
• Supplied 1.1 innings of scoreless relief against UC Irvine in The Big West Baseball Championship (May 27).

2021 | Los Angeles Valley College

• LA Valley did not participate in the 2021 California Community College Athletic Association’s baseball season.

2020 | Los Angeles Valley College

• Made eight starts during the COVID-19 shortened season, posting a 1-3 record and 6.31 ERA.
• Recorded 31 strikeouts in 35.2 innings pitched while holding opponents to a .255 batting average.
• Picked up the victory against Folsom Lake (Feb. 13) after tossing 6.1 innings and striking out six batters.

2019 | Cal State Northridge

• Did not play in his first collegiate season.

Prep Career

• Was a pitcher for head coach Rich Pildes at Taft High School.
• Struck out 62 batters in 79.2 innings during his prep career.
• Tossed 45.2 innings and struck out 39 batters over 12 appearances during his senior season.

Personal

• Josh Howitt is the son of Mike and Elayne Howitt.
• Has three brothers: Sam, Joel, and Adam.
