2025 | Austin Peay

• Appeared 18 times in relief for the Govs, leading the roster in relief appearances and eight saves.
• Finished the season with a 3-2 win-loss record and a 3.98 ERA, striking out 43 batters over 31.2 innings pitched.
• Notched his first win of the season against Purdue Fort Wayne (Feb. 23), where he threw two innings and struck out three batters while holding the Mastodons scoreless.
• Picked up his first save against Eastern Illinois (March 1) after throwing the game’s final inning and allowing two baserunners.
• Made his longest appearance against Florida Gulf Coast (May 24) in the ASUN Championship, throwing a career single-game best 4.1 innings and striking out a single-game best six batters.

2024 | Austin Peay

• Did not play in the ’24 season for the Govs.

2023 | LSU

• Did not play in lone season at LSU. Transferred to Austin Peay in January 2024.

2022 | Wabash Valley College

• Appeared in seven games with Wabash Valley, starting three, and pitched 6.1 innings.
• Struck out eight batters in 6.1 innings pitched.
• Debuted as the starting pitcher against Wallace Community College-Dothan (Feb. 5) and went two innings while striking out three batters.
• Made four appearances, including two starts, in February before missing March and most of April.
• Returned to the mound against Ivy Tech Community College-Northeast (April 22).
• Picked up season’s lone decision in his final appearance, tossing an inning in a start against Vincennes (May 10).

Prep Career

• Was a right-handed pitcher for head coach Brian Hurry at Mount Carmel High School.
• Also played football and basketball at Mount Carmel.
• Named to the 2019-20 Illinois Basketball Coaches Association First Team 2A All-State and the Associated Press 2A All-State Team as a junior after averaging 19.2 points and 12.2 rebounds.

• Kaleb Wayne Applebey is the son of Lee and Kristi Applebey.
• Birthday is Feb. 17.
• Has a sister, Kylie.
