Career Recap: Milwaukee Lutheran HS

• Played outfield and was a pitcher for Red Knights head coach Bob Heinkel.
• Finished prep career with .292 batting average, 20 doubles and 47 RBI in 85 games. On the mound, he was 7-6 with 3.01 career ERA in 76.2 innings pitched.
• Did not allow an earned run during senior campaign, compiling a 2-1 record in seven outings (four starts) tossing 23.2 innings. Also posted a .297 batting average with 11 doubles and 22 RBI at the plate.
• Helped lead Milwaukee Lutheran to Wisconsin Division 2 state championship game in back-to-back seasons, winning title in 2015 and finishing runner-up in 2016.
• In 2015 state championship game, went 1-for-3 but knocked in the game-winning RBI with a third inning single. He went 2-for-6 in the two-game state championship tournament.
• Batted .311 as a junior with 14 RBI in 90 at-bats, finishing with a .394 on-base percentage thanks to 12 walks. On the mound he was 1-1 in seven starts lasting 13.2 innings.
• Played summer baseball with the Rawlings Hitters with head coach R.J. Fergus.

• Ryan Joseph Selner is the son of Tom and Sue Selner.
• Born Oct. 12
• Has an older brother, C.J., who played baseball at Concordia (Chicago).
