2022

  • Opening Day starter in left field and appeared in 32 games, starting 28. Made 29 starts in center field and nine in left field during the season.
  • Batted .373 with six doubles, six home runs, 23 RBI, and had a team-leading 11 stolen bases while not being caught stealing during the season.
  • In OVC play, posted a .338 batting average with five doubles, and two home runs.
  • Suffered an injury in the season’s second game and was out of the lineup for five weeks, returning with a 1-for-4 outing at Belmont (March 25) that included a solo home run.
  • Compiled a 12-game hit streak (April 15-May 6), following another two-week layoff following an injury, and batted .524 (22-of-42) with four doubles, two home runs, and 10 RBI.
  • Returned to starting lineup against Southern Illinois (April 19) and hit 2-run home run in his first at-bat.
  • One day after seeing the 12-game hit streak end, pieced together another eight-game hit streak (May 8-21) that saw him bat .349 (14-of-37) with two doubles, three home runs and 11 RBI.
  • Had two hits in all three games of the Toledo series (April 29-May 1) and was 6-for-13 with two doubles and a triple during the set.
  • Hit two home runs as part of a 4-for-5, three RBI outing against Western Kentucky, May 10.
  • Had two RBI in all three games of the Tennessee Tech series (May 13-15), going 6-for-14 at the plate with two doubles, a home run and six RBI.
  • Also responsible for a team-leading 21 putouts (out of 75 total) in the Tennessee Tech series.

2021

  • Governors’ Opening Day starter in left field, played 44 games, and started 33 games with starts in each of three outfield spots – 23 in left field where he split time with Knaje Guthrie.
  • Batted .256, led the team with four triples, and was second on the team with 11 stolen bases during the season.
  • In league play, batted .297 with seven of his 19 hits going for extra bases, including three home runs.
  • Returned after missing 15 days in May, going 5-for-12 (.417) with six RBI in the Murray State series (May 20-21).
  • Had a hit in all three games of the EKU series (April 2-3), including game-tying RBI in Game 3 of series.
  • Had home runs in back-to-back games of Belmont series (March 26-27) and was 5-for-8 with four runs scored in the series.
  • Went 2-for-3 with a double, triple and two RBI in Govs’ Game 2 victory against Tenn. Tech (March 14).
  • Went 3-for-5 with a run scored against Tennessee (March 3).

2020

  • In first season at Austin Peay, played in 16 games, starting eight games in left field and two at designated hitter.
  • Finished second on the team with .311 batting average, adding a home run and six RBI.
  • Hit first home run as a Governor at Lipscomb, March 10, finishing night 2-for-5 with a RBI.
  • Led Govs at Jacksonville, batting .444 (4-for-9), starting twice at designated hitter.
  • Provided game-winning 2-run single in Game 2 of Eastern Michigan series, Feb. 15, going 2-for-2 with two RBI at the plate.

2019

  • Earned ABCA/Rawlings Gold Glove Award (0 errors, 128 chances) for the Pacific Association Division (California, Washington and Oregon) at Ventura.
  • Also was a first-team All-Western State Conference North Division and ABCA All-Region Selection
  • Let Ventura to first Division title since 2006
  • Named Ventura’s Male Scholar Athlete of the Year
  • Batted .380 with 29 RBI, 44 runs scored and 30 stolen bases
  • Had three four-hit games in 2019, including a 4-for-6, five RBI outing at Los Angeles Pierce.

2018

  • Batted .322 with 26 RBI, 43 runs scored and 19 stolen bases in first season at Ventura College.
  • Did not commit an error in 78 chances
  • Second-Team All-Western State Conference North Division selection
  • Went 4-for-4 with five RBI against Los Angeles Mission in his fifth game at Ventura.

Prep Career

  • Prepped at Moorpark High School for head coach Scott Fullerton.
  • Overcame hand injury prior to senior season and earned Second Team All-Coastal Canyon League
  • First Team All-Coastal Canyon League as a junior.

Personal

  • Tyler Jay Foreman is the son of Jerry and Theresa Foreman and has a younger sister, Madi.
  • Birthday is Oct. 27.
  • A leadership and organizational administration major.
