Career Recap: Austin Peay
As a freshman in 2013 – Saw action in 34 games, starting 18 contests as an outfielder or designated hitter… Also made 14 relief appearances on the mound… Batted .278 with five doubles and six RBI… Made six consecutive starts as left fielder or designated hitter from April 20-26, finishing run with eight hits, including game-winning RBI with single in third inning against Evansville, April 24… Started season’s final five games in right field after injury to Rolando Gautier… Went 4-for-7 in OVC Tournament, including 2-for-4 outing in championship against Eastern Kentucky, May 25… Had two hits in NCAA Bloomington Regional, his RBI single providing Govs first run against Valparaiso, June 2… On the mound, did not record a decision and had 6.16 ERA with 17 strikeouts in 19 innings… Had five consecutive appearances, March 15-22, (eight consecutive innings) without allowing a run.

Career Recap: Ft. Zumwalt West HS
Was an outfielder and pitcher for head coach Eric Gough… Twice an all-conference selection…  Finished career with .400 batting average and 78 RBI… As a senior, he was 4-2 with a 1.60 ERA in 48 innings pitched while posting a .330 batting average with 22 RBI at the plate… Was a Perfect Game USA Preseason Underclass Honorable Mention All-America selection prior to senior campaign… Shined at the plate his junior season, hitting .412 with two home runs and 28 RBI and earned all-conference and all-district honors… Began prep career batting .375 with 16 RBI as a sophomore and posting a .300 batting average and 12 RBI as a freshman.
