2022

  • Appeared in 55 games with his 48 starts coming at first base (30), second base (11), third base (1), left field (1), and designated hitter (5).
  • Batted .298 with seven home runs, 47 RBI, and was hit by a pitch a team-leading 12 times.
  • Entered Boston College series finale (Feb. 20) in the 8th inning and provided a game-tying 2-run double in Govs eventual victory
  • Went 2-for-4 with a home run and three RBI in first start at designated hitter against Bowling Green (Feb. 25).
  • Walked three times and was 2-for-2 with a RBI and stolen base in the Bowling Green series finale (Feb. 27).
  • Notched second three-RBI day against Bellarmine (March 1), going 1-for-4 with a double at the plate.
  • Saw a season-best eight-game hit streak end in Belmont series finale (March 27). He batted .323 (10-of-31) with six RBI during the streak.
  • Moved to first base for the injured McDonald during the Lipscomb game (March 9) and played the next 30 games there.
  • Started at third base for the series finale at Toledo (May 1) and went 2-for-4 with a double, home run, and a season-high four RBI.
  • Made first start at second base the next game against Murray State (May 6) and finished the season there.
  • Had back-to-back two-hit games against Western Kentucky (May 10) and at Tennessee Tech (May 13), hitting a double, home run, and driving in three runs against the Golden Eagles.
  • Went 3-for-4 with a home run and two RBI in season’s penultimate game against Morehead State (May 20).
  • Finished the season with a 12-game reached safely streak (May 1-24).

2021

  • Opening Day starter at designated hitter, appeared in 39 games and started 27. Made seven starts at first base, one in left field and led the team with 19 starts as the designated hitter.
  • Batted .202 during the season with six home runs and 13 walks
  • Had a pair of two-homer games in 2021: at Southeast Missouri (March 20) and at Eastern Kentucky (April 2).
  • Went 3-for-6 with four RBI, two home runs and three runs scored in Eastern Kentucky series opener (April 2).
  • Hit three home runs in Southeast Missouri doubleheader (March 20), hitting two in the day’s first game as part of a 2-for-5, four RBI effort.
  • Hit 2-run home run, first of APSU career, in series opener against Tennessee Tech (March 13) and had three RBI in the series..

2020

  • Began first Austin Peay season in left field (2 starts), moved to designated hitter (5 starts) before ending season at first base (7 starts), ultimately appearing in 15 games, making 14 starts.
  • Batted .255 during the season with three doubles and six RBI.
  • Went 3-for-5 with two doubles and two RBI in Govs victory against Murray State, March 7.
  • Had a hit in all three games of Jacksonville series, batting .417 (5-for-12).
  • Had a two-run triple as part of a 2-for-4, 3 RBI outing in Eastern Michigan finale, Feb. 15.

2019

  • A second-team all-conference selection after batting .359 with three home runs and 59 RBI as an infielder at Chattanooga State Community College.
  • Ranked 46th among NJCAA hitters in RBI and 95th in runs scored (54).
  • Had a 14-game hit streak followed by a 12-game hit streak during the first half of his sophomore campaign.
  • Had three straight three-hit outings, going 9-for-12 in games against Columbia State, Bryan College and Dyersburg State.
  • Had five RBI in a game three times, including in a TCCAA Tournament win against Motlow State.

2018

  • Batted .323 as a freshman with four home runs, 38 RBI and 43 runs scored.
  • Began April on an impressive tear that saw him bat .483 during a nine-game hit streak
  • Named to TCCAA All-Academic team.

Prep Career

  • Prepped at East Paulding High School for coach Tony Boyd.
  • Played shortstop, third base and pitched.
  • Originally signed to play at Savannah State.

  • Jacob Ty DeLancey is the son of Josh and Joanne DeLancey and has a brother, Price.
