Career Recap: Austin Peay
As a junior transfer in 2007 ? Farrar started all 59 games at third base... named second-team All-OVC... missed only six innings on defense during the course of the season, playing defensively in 536.1 of 542.1 innings possible... first player in APSU history to have two five-hit games in the same season... went 5-for-7 at Morehead State, April 1,  and added a 5-for-5 performance against Eastern Illinois, May 6... led Govs with .341 batting average, ranking 12th among league hitters... also ranked among OVC top 10 in hits per game (1.41, 4th), runs scored per game (0.81, 9th), doubles per game (0.27, 10th), stolen bases per game (0.27, 9th), at-bats per game (4.10, 1st) and plate appearances per game (4.59, 5th)... opened 2007 campaign with 3-for-3, 2 RBI performance against Central Arkansas... record four consecutive two-hit outings in mid-March, upping average to .316 before it slid back to a season-low .284 at month’s end... opened April with season’s first five-hit performance at Morehead State... also recorded a pair of four-hit efforts during the month... the first a 4-for-5 effort against Memphis which included two doubles and a triple... then went 4-for-4 at UT Martin, April 28, with two RBI and four runs scored... May was really his month as he posted a team-best .407 batting average during the month... put together a seven-game hit streak during the month during which he batted .548 (17-for-31) with six-multi hit efforts, including his season’s second five-hit performance... batted .377 in conference play with team-best 40 hits... named to OVC all-tournament team... opened tournament with 1-for-4, two RBI (including the game-winning RBI) performance against Samford ... then was 2-for-4 in first Jacksonville State contest... plated the tying run in the Govs championship game against Jacksonville State with sacrifice fly... named to Nashville Region All-Tournament team after 4-of-13, 2 HR, 6 RBI tournament performance... belted 9th inning leadoff home run against Vanderbilt’s David Price in opening game to force extra innings... followed that with 2-for-4, 3 RBI performance in Govs first-round elimination of Memphis... completed tournament with first-inning two-run home run to give Govs an early lead in elimination game against Vanderbilt.

Career Recap: Columbia State CC
Under head coach Jim Painter, batted .376 with 30 RBI in his sophomore season... ranked 29th in batting average among Tennessee Junior and Community College Athletic Association players and ranked fourth in triples per game (.06), fifth in total hits (71) and ninth in hits per game (1.37)... was a 2006 first-team All-TJCCAA selection... he batted .369 in his freshman season.

Robert Tyler Farrar is the son of Bobby and Cindy Farrar... born March 17, 1986... has three siblings: Lance (25), Matt (19) and Chris (16)... majoring in health specialization with a minor in geography... played prep baseball at McGavock High School.
