As a junior transfer in 2008 ?
Upton played in 21 games and made three starts, twice as designated hitter and once as catcher... batted .160 with two RBI... in OVC play had one hit in seven at-bats (.167)... in season’s second appearance walked with bases loaded to start Govs four-run ninth-inning outburst in come-from-behind victory against Valparaiso, Feb. 29... made first APSU start against Milwaukee, March 14, going 0-for-3 with two walks as designated hitter... got first APSU hit in next outing with RBI pinch-hit single against UWM, March 15... had an extended three-game hit streak... streak began with 1-for-3 effort in start behind the plate at Vanderbilt, April 9... streak’s second hit came nearly one month later with pinch-hit single and RBI against Middle Tennessee, May 5... third hit was another pinch-hit single at Eastern Illinois, May 10... made season’s third start as designated hitter against Southeast Missouri in OVC Tournament, May 21... received OVC Medal Honor (along with Brian Bernatowicz), given to OVC student-athletes with highest GPA in their conference-sponsored sport.

Upton played in 22 games, starting 12 as a catcher, designated hitter or first baseman... batted .204 with seven RBI... was 2-for-3 with 2 RBI against Alabama State, April 24... was 1-for-4 with a 2-run double at Jacksonville State, March 13... had 2-for-3, 3-run scored performance against Alabama State... opened 2007 campaign with 2-for-4, RBI effort against Western Carolina.

As a freshman in 2006 ?
