As a sophomore in 2024:

• Made 16 starts across 19 appearances while logging 1,148 minutes. 
• Dished out her first-career assist in the season opener against Western Kentucky (Aug. 15).
• Had career-high three shots on goal on as many attempts against UT Martin (Aug. 25).
• Scored her season’s first goal off the bench at Murray State (Aug. 29).
• Scored her first-career game-winning goal at Jacksonville (Oct. 6).
• Finished the season with a career-high 19 shots, eight shots and five points off two goals and an assist.

As a freshman in 2023:

• One of 11 players to play in all 21 matches, earning five starts. 
• Tied for third on the team and second among the Governors’ freshmen with two goals.
• Played 25 minutes in her collegiate debut against UT Martin, Aug. 17.
• Scored her fist-career goal in the 34th minute against Jacksonville, Sept. 21.
• Earned her first-career start in a 60-minute outing against North Florida, Sept. 24.
• Started the final four matches of the season, including both of Austin Peay’s Atlantic Sun Conference Women’s Soccer Championship contests.
• Netted her first-career postseason goal in the 82nd minute of the ASUN Quarterfinals against Florida Gulf Coast, Oct. 29.

Alana Naomi Owens is the daughter of Irena and Kelvin Owens… Has four siblings: Gianna, Brandon, Boston and Evanna… Her grandfather, R.C. Owens, played in the National Football League from 1957-64 after being drafted by the San Francisco 49ers in the 14th round of the 1956 draft. He played for the 49ers from 1957-61 and is a member of the franchise’s Hall of Fame after earning Second Team All-Pro honors in 1960… Born Feb. 3… Majoring in engineering.
