2025 | Austin Peay

  • Started 42 games for the Govs, 41 in right field and one as designated hitter, and batted .281 with .406 and .654 (4th in ASUN) on-base and slugging percentages for a 1.060 (4th in ASUN) OPS.
  • Twenty-five of his 43 hits went for extra bases, including 15 (5th in ASUN) home runs, eight doubles, and a pair of triples.
  • Szako tallied 48 RBI, which ranked seventh in league play.
  • Set a career-high with five RBI in a single game at Eastern Kentucky (April 18), where he went 3-for-4 with a grand slam, a solo home run, and a double.
  • Hit a pair of grand slams during the season, putting him at a mark of three in his career, which is tied for the third-most in program history.

2024 | Austin Peay

  • Played in 49 games, starting 48, on the left side of the diamond at third for the Govs.
  • Posted a .319 batting average with 15 home runs and 59 RBI.
  • Went 6-for-12 in the home series against Bellarmine (April 5, 6 & 7) with two home runs and a double while tallying six RBI.
  • Went on a 14-day stretch with seven multi-hit games (April 20-May 3), hitting four home runs and five doubles, picking up 16 RBI in that span.
  • Had a pinch-hit two-run home run against Mississippi State (February 21) to spark a late game rally that led the Govs’ to a win in Game 2 of the midweek pair.

2023 | Fort Scott Community College

  • An NJCAA First Team All-Region 6 and First Team Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference East Division selection after playing in 55 games.
  • Finished sophomore season batting .424 with a .892 slugging percentage with 10 doubles, 27 home runs, and 79 RBI.
  • Also pitched in six games, with two starts, and recorded a save while striking out 11 batters in 8.1 innings.
  • Had four RBI in a game eight times during the season, including in three consecutive games (March 17-25), which was part of a seven-game stretch with five four RBI outings (March 15-26).
  • Opened the season with a 14-game hit streak (Feb. 10-March 8) and, after going hitless in one game, followed up with a 10-game hit streak (March 4-27) that included nine multi-hit games and later had a 14-game hit streak (April 13-May 3).
  • Posted a 4-for-5 effort at the plate against Labette College (March 15) with a home run and four RBI.
  • Went 5-for-5 with a home run and four RBI against Highland Community College (April 22).

2022 | Fort Scott Community College

  • Played in 45 games during his second season at Fort Scott, earning NJCAA Second Team All-Region 6 and First Team KJCCC East Division honors.
  • Posted a .397 batting average and .894 slugging percentage during the season with 11 doubles, 20 home runs, and 41 RBI.
  • Went 3-for-4 with two home runs, two RBI, and three runs scored at Neosho County (March 13).
  • Hit two home runs in a 3-for-3, three RBI, three runs scored effort against Johnson County Community College (March 25).
  • Hit four home runs and was 6-for-7 at the plate with seven RBI in a doubleheader against Highland Community College (April 2).

2021 | New Mexico Junior College

  • Began career at New Mexico Junior College but did not play for the Thunderbirds.

Prep Career

  • A catcher at Magnolia West High School for head coach Just Faltysek.
  • Twice named to Conroe Courier All-Montgomery County team.
  • As a junior, batted.351 with three home runs and 20 RBI.
