Biography
As a sophomore in 2013-14: Played in 27 games for the Govs in the 2013-14 season… key Gov frontliner off the bench…shot 51.7 percent (15 for 29) from the field… elevated play prior to Christmas break…had season-high six rebounds twice, against Vanderbilt (Dec. 17) and East Tennessee State (Dec. 4)… also had season-high 10 points in first game against East Tennessee State (Dec. 4), going 4-of-6 from the floor...scored six points off the bench (Feb. 13) against Eastern Illinois.
Junior College: Joined New Mexico Military Institute after first semester’s end in 2012…played in 21 games, including 11 starts…averaged 3.8 points and 4.4 rebounds in one season with program. He will have three seasons of eligibility with the Governors.
Prior to junior college: Grew grew up in Dakar , Senegal playing soccer…began developing basketball abilities in Senegal’s Sports for Education and Economic Development Foundation (SEEDS), established in 2003…with help of Nike and the NBA among others, SEEDS offers intense 10-month training period for prospective basketball players.
Personal: Business administration major…son of Serigne Mboup and Astou Gaye…brother Alioune is a junior center at Henderson State…born June 7, 1991…age 22.
