As a junior in 2015-16: Missed season’s first 11 games due to academic reasons... Worked hard in offseason to improve strength. Has bulked up almost 20 pounds... Played three minutes, dishing out one assist, in season’s first action at Lipscomb... In season’s most extended action, scored five points and dished out a career-high four assists in 18 minutes against Westminster... Needed two minutes to secure three rebounds against Tennessee State in the OVC Tournament quarterfinals... scored and played three minutes against Kansas in the NCAA Tournament.

As a sophomore in 2014-15: Displayed steady improvement over season's final 1 1/2 months, in particular in closing weeks...appeared in 27 games...played double-digit minutes in each of last eight games, including season-high 20 against Murray State (Feb. 7)...scored double figures twice during season...tallied 10 points home loss to Lipscomb (Dec. 13, 2014) but was unable to carry momentum....missed the second Lipscomb game (Dec. 21, 2014) with illness...played fewer than 10 minutes in first 10 OVC games, including a pair of DNPs...minutes started to increase during season's final monthy...grabbed then-season high five rebounds. at UT Martin (Feb. 14) in 16 minutes...two games later he matched his season high with 10 points while grabbing season-best six rebounds at Eastern Kentucky (Feb. 23)...had four rebounds in home-season finale against SIUE before closing seasons with nine points, all on career-best three three pointers made.

At Cloud County (CC): Played forward for Esbaugh at Cloud County Community College..as freshman played in 30 games this season, with 20 starts…averaged 7.8 points, shooting 41 percent from the floor, and 5.5 rebounds per game…scored in double figures 10 times, including a season-best 27 points and 17 rebounds against Highland Community College…also  had 33 blocks.

High School: Played forward for Junishiro Hongo at Nobeoka Gakuen in Japan…averaged 26 points and  15 rebounds per game, including career-high 45-point effort… led team to three straight All- Japan High School championships, twice earning tournament MVP.

Personal: Interdisciplinary studies major…full name is Elhadji Assane Diop…son of Mame Briam Diop and Aisatou Sarr…born Jan. 10.
