Landon Shipley

Landon Shipley returns to the University where he started his college basketball career. This time he will serve as the program's graduate assistant.

The St. Louis native played both his freshman and sophomore seasons at APSU where he averaged 5.5 points per game as a freshman, including a perfect 5-for-5 three-point shooting effort (career-high 24 points) against Evansville, and 8.8 points per game as a sophomore, including two 18-point efforts. He held the Governors win the 2006-07 OVC regular-season title and reach the NIT, facing Air Force.

After his sophomore season, he transferred to Illinois State, sitting out 2007-08 in accordance to NCAA transfer rules. Shipley made 40-percent of three-point attempts and was third on the team in free-throw percentage as the 2008-09 Redbirds advanced to the NIT.

He was a four-time all-district selection at Lafayette High School and left the program as it's all-time leading scorer. A two-time All-State selection, Shipley was named the St. Louis Post-Dispatch St. Louis Metro Player of the Year as a prep senior.
