Travis Allen enters his second season at Austin Peay and first as the men's basketball Director of Basketball Operations. He was promoted to his current position June 25, 2024.
Allen joined Gipson's inaugural staff in prior to the 2023-24 season as the assistant director of basketball operations, before being promoted to special assistant to the head coach in Jan. 2024.
Allen was a graduate assistant for two seasons at Northwestern State, serving as an assistant director of basketball operations.
His various duties for the Demons included team meal logistics, assisting with travel and expense reports, and practice support.
Prior to arriving in Natchitoches, Allen was the head student Manager at Grand Canyon and assisted in training, organizing, and directing the Lopes’ student manager staff.  He also performed numerous duties such as assisting in practices, weight training, travel, and recruiting operations.
Allen co-founded Ball Out Phoenix, which is a basketball camp for underprivileged youth in West Phoenix. He also volunteered at the 2017 Final Four in Glendale, Arizona.
