Vinny Vetrone enters his first season as a graduate assistant for the Governors basketball program.

Vetrone was a manager at Rutgers from 2016-18, working closely with the Scarlet Knights’ coaching staff on meals, equipment, workouts and other needs on and off the court. In addition, he helped put together Team Jimmy V for The Basketball Tournament during Summer 2019 and 2020, recruiting high-level players from around the world to play for the $2 million prize.

Vetrone also has extensive experience during the summer camp circuit, working the Under Armour All-American Camp, Adidas High School All-American Basketball Camp and Reebok Breakout All-American Camp, in addition to camps at Rutgers and Hofstra. He also runs his own training service, Beyond Limits Hoops, focused on skill development.

The son of longtime college basketball coach Greg “Shoes” Vetrone, Vinny Vetrone graduated from Rutgers in 2019. He is from Levittown, New York.
