As a freshman 2011-12: Played in three games...scored career's first point on a free throw against Eastern Kentucky, Jan. 12...also had rebound in contest.

In high school: Guard for Jerry Johnson at Wooddale High School...three-year letterman who was co-captain as junior and captains as senior...earned team's defensive award both as junior and senior while garnering leadership award also in senior campaign...averaged 12 points, 4.0 steals as junior and followed it up by averaging 18 points, 5.5 assists and 4.0 steals per game as senior.

Personal: Social work major...son of Greg and Carla Covnington...has one brother, Courtney (14)....born July 10, 1992...age 19.
