Biography

2024 | Austin Peay

  • Appeared 15 times for the Govs’ pitching staff finishing the year with a 7.82 ERA collecting 18 strikeouts over 12.2 innings of relief work.
  • Finished the season with a 1-1 record after nabbing his only win against Jacksonville (April 13) throwing 1.1 innings and striking out all four batters he faced.
  • Struck out five of the eight batters he faced against Maryland Eastern Shore (February 23) in 2.0 innings of relief while not allowing a run and only giving up two hits.
  • In back-to-back appearances against Eastern Kentucky (April 27) and Stetson (May 5), threw 1.0 perfect innings in each appearance not allowing a hit over the six batters faced.

2023 | Indian River State College

  • Made 10 appearances, including one start, as a sophomore.
  • Finished the season with a 2-1 record and 41 strikeouts in 44.0 innings pitched.
  • Struck out a season best eight batters in a four-inning relief outing against State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (Feb. 27).
  • Notched season’s first win with a six-inning relief effort at Eastern Florida State College (March 15), allowing one run while striking out four batters.
  • Second victory came in his final outing of the season, a seven-inning effort at Eastern Florida State College (April 21) in which he did not allow an earned run while striking out five batters.

2022 | Indian River State College

  • Appeared in 15 games, starting five, and finished the season with a 4-4 record while amassing 77 strikeouts in 68.2 innings pitched.
  • Made junior college debut as a reliever at Chipola College (Jan. 29), striking out five batters in two innings.
  • Picked up first junior college win at Hillsborough Community College (Feb. 12) with 5.2 innings of scoreless relief while striking out seven batters.
  • Made debut as a starter at Lake Sumter State College (Feb. 26), tossing four innings.
  • Struck out a season best 12 batters in a six-inning relief outing at Eastern Florida State College (April 9).
  • His last three appearances of the season were as a starter and he went 2-0 with a 1.65 ERA while striking out 14 batters in 16.1 innings pitched.
  • In those last three outings, he won against Florida Southwestern State College (May 7) in the FCSAA/NJCAA South Atlantic District Tournament’s Fort Myers Regional to keep IRSC’s season alive.
  • Allowed one run over five innings in his final outing against Miami Dade College (May 12) in the opening game of the FCSAA/NJCAA South Atlantic District Tournament but did not factor into the decision.

Prep Career

  • Played four seasons at Northside High School as a pitcher for head coach Steve Sparks.
  • Struck out 161 batters in 126.2 innings during his career, posting a 4.26 ERA.
  • Struck out 75 batters in 59 innings during his sophomore season (2018) and was named to the All-Arkansas Preps Sophomore/Freshman Team.
  • Also was a defensive end at Northside.
  • Following his prep career, he attended IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida for the 2021 season.

  • Khaden Washington is the son of Belinda Washington.
  • Birthday is July 27.
  • Has two siblings: Kylin and Karys.
  • His uncle Ravin Caldwell Jr. played six seasons in the NFL, all with Washington and who is a two-time Super Bowl Champion (XXII, XXVI).
