Career Recap: Austin Peay
As a senior in 2016

  • Saw action in 50 games, with all of his 47 starts coming in center field. Finished senior campaign with a .339 batting average that was second on the team and had 19 RBI.
  • Led all Govs hitters with a .387 batting average in OVC play, finishing season ranked eighth among league hitters.
  • Became just third Govs hitter since 1996 to post a 6-for-6 performance at the plate, hitting the milestone in the May 21 regular-season finale against Oklahoma. He had three doubles in the six-hit affair and had a career-high four RBI.
  • Enjoyed a five-game streak of multi-hit games, May 8-15, that saw him bat .462 (12-for-26) and pushed his overall batting average up 23 points (.328 to .351).
  • Missed five games due to an illness but returned with a splash during weekend set against Murray State. Went 8-for-11 (.727 batting average) with two doubles and his season’s only home run (March 26).
  • His illness was sandwiched into a career-best 13-game hit streak that stretched more than a month on the calendar – March 6-April 8. Each of his three game-winning RBI came during the streak.

As a junior transfer in 2015

  • Appeared in 49 games, making 37 starts in each of the three outfield positions, batted .295 with 31 RBI in first season with Austin Peay.
  • Was third on team with .337 batting average in OVC play with four home runs and 18 RBI
  • Enjoyed Eastern Kentucky series, April 17-18, going 7-for-11 (.636) with six RBI, three doubles and two home runs. Included a double, home run and walk in each game of the series’ doubleheader
  • Pieced together a seven-game hit streak at season’s midpoint, batting .364 (12-for-33) with eight RBI. Had two three-hit outings during streak, going 3-for-5 with three RBI in March 31 contest at Middle Tennessee and 3-for-7 with a RBI at Southeast Missouri, April 5.
  • Named OVC Co-Player of the Week, March 10, after batting .615 (8-for-13) in three-game series against Eastern Illinois. Opened series with 5-for-5 outing, the first such outing since Reed Harper during the 2013 season, including his first APSU home run.

As a sophomore in 2014

  • Batted .354 while leading the California Community College Baseball Association with 54 RBI while also ranking 10th with 22 stolen bases.
  • 2014 First-Team California Community College Athletic Association All-State pick.

As a freshman in 2013

  • Batted .313 with three home runs and 20 RBI, stealing 19 bases and posting a .397 on-base percentage.
  • His 19 stolen bases were 13th most in the CCCBA despite playing just 38 games.
