2024-25 (Freshman)
The eighth player in program history to be named the Freshman of the Year and the first since the Governors joined the ASUN Conference… Second player in program history to be selected to the Freshman All-ASUN Team… Started 22-of-31 appearances… Averaged 10.6 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 1.4 steals per game while shooting 43.7% from the field and 39.0% from three-point range… Had 15 double-figure scoring performances, five 20-point games, and a team-best two 30-point outings… Led Austin Peay in scoring six times and in rebounds seven times… Led the team with 146 rebounds, second with 4.7 rebounds per game… Paced Austin Peay with a freshman-record 71 three-pointers, which ranked eighth in the NCAA amongst his class… Came off the bench in each of his first four appearances of the season… Scored his first-career bucket in the season-opener against Union (Nov. 4)… Connected on his first-career three-pointer in a two-triple performance against Georgia State (Nov. 26) at the 2024 Jacksonville Classic… Made his first-career start a day later against UT Arlington (Nov. 27) with eight points and a pair of rebounds against the Mavericks… Reached double-figure scoring at ETSU (Nov. 30) with 10 point and seven rebounds… Scored 11 points off the bench at Ohio (Dec. 18), beginning a season-long stretch of five-straight games scoring in double figures… Notched his first of five 20-point games in a 21-point, eight-rebound performance against Brescia (Dec. 29) in the nonconference finale where he made four three-pointers… Returned to the starting lineup against West Georgia (Jan. 9) where he remained for the remainder of the season… After being held to under 10 points in back-to-back games, had one of the best performances by a freshman in program history with 38 points off nine three-pointers, six rebounds, and three steals in 43 minutes of action during an overtime victory against Eastern Kentucky (Jan. 16). His 38 points is tied for the third-best scoring performance by a freshman in program history, trailing only James “Fly” Williams’ program-record 51 points twice during the 1972-73 season and stands as the F&M Bank Arena facility record. His nine three-pointers also were the most by a freshman in a single game and tied the program record held by Ja’Monta Black (2023-24) and Joe Sibbitt (1997-98). Also earned ASUN Newcomer of the Week honors for the first time in his career… Had 11 rebounds against Bellarmine (Jan. 30)… Tallied his third 20-point scoring night with 27 points with six three-pointers and a season-high four steals and 10 made field goals against Central Arkansas (Feb. 8), also tied the program record with 16 three-point attempts… Made six three-pointers in back-to-back games at Bellarmine (Feb. 18) and at Queens (Feb. 20), scoring 31 and 25 points, respectively. His performances against the Knights and Royals helped him become the first player in program history to earn ASUN Player of the Week honors, while also receiving his second ASUN Newcomer of the Week nod… Had his first-career double-double with 13 points and a season-high 12 rebounds at West Georgia (Feb. 26)… Scored 11 points and grabbed eight rebounds against North Florida (March 2) in the ASUN Basketball Championship.
Career Recap: Battle High School
A two-time All-State selection under head coach Ben Pallardy... Averaged 16.2 points, 7.7 rebounds, 3.1 assists, and 2.0 blocks per game during his senior season at Battle High School... Named the Class 6 District 7 Player of the Year and a First Team All-District selection… Finished his senior season with six double-doubles and a season-high of 29 points against Jefferson City in the final game of prep ball.
