Biography

As a junior in 2016-17: Appeared in 29 games and earned a start, carving a niche for himself as a noted defensive stopper… played double-digit minutes 11 times… scored four points and snatched three rebounds against Delaware (Nov. 20)… dished out three assists in the Nov. 26 game against Spalding… after scoring six points and adding three boards at Wofford (Dec. 15), got the start against Evansville (Dec. 17), scoring four and adding three assists in a season-high 28 minutes… hit both shot attempts and collected two steals at Indiana (Dec. 22)… equaled season-high with four assists at Eastern Kentucky (Feb. 1)… in Feb. 18 contest against SIUE, scored six points to go with two assists and two rebounds.

As a sophomore in 2015-16: Gained steady playing time during the course of the regular season... Saw late action against both Vanderbilt and Indiana... Smoothed an offense that was running haphazard against IPFW in his 14 minutes; team was plus-five with Ivory on the court, minus-nine w/ other APSU PG’s... Equaled career high with three assists at North Florida... Scored season’s first points against Tennessee Tech... Came off bench to record career-best five assists against SEMO... His last-minute steal and free-throws clinched the Governors first win at Murray State since 2011... Followed that up with a big role in the road win at EIU, scoring a season-high five points in 13 minutes... Saw a career-high 22 minutes of action against Murray State... Scored three points and dished out three assists in nine minutes during the OVC Tournament opening contest against Tennessee Tech... played in the NCAA Tournament against Kansas.

As a freshman in 2014-15: Played in 21 games as freshman...opened year as top point-guard reserve...hit a three pointer and pulled down four rebounds in debut in opener at Western Kentucky...played 17 minutes against Illinois and Indiana State...netted career-high six points against Brown...saw career-high 19 minutes of action against Stephen F. Austin, going 4-for-5 from the free-throw line...hit a pair of threes to equal career high against Troy...knocked down a three in nine minutes of action against both Lipscomb and Ole Miss...made a start against Southeast Missouri, playing five minutes...injured thumb against Southeast Missouri and missed three contests.

High School: Played point guard for Mike Szabo at Trinity High School…helped lead Trinity to 30-5 record and Kentucky state semifinals as a senior…averaged 10.6 points, 5.7 assists and 3.0 rebounds per game in final prep season… as the Shamrocks advanced to the Kentucky state semifinals… two-time all-district selection along with all-region in 2014…also was honorable mention All-State…selected to 2014 Kentucky State All-Tournament team…was member of team that won Kentucky State title in 2012… previously, was a two-time member of Louisville Invitational all-tournament team as well as the King of the Bluegrass All-Tournament team..chosen to Junior Kentucky All-Star team in 2013…played AAU ball for Quinn Anvils, playing for Chris Morris.

Personal: Communications (Sports Broadcasting) major with minor in professional education…son of Willie Ivory and Latrice MCcown…has two brothers, Zamereon MCcown and Willie Ivory Jr…father, Willie, played forward for APSU from 1996-98…born Jan. 13.
