As a senior in 2012 – Edlin appeared in 25 games, all in relief, and compiled a 1-2 record and 7.03 ERA... struck out two batters in two innings at Memphis, March 13...surrendered game-winning hit in 13-inning loss at Ohio State, March 16... struck out two of three batters faced at Lipscomb, March 20... faced two batters, retiring one in brief outing against Western Kentucky, March 21... threw one inning of scoreless relief in Game 3 of Southeast Missouri series, March 25... walked bases loaded but escaped and threw 1.1 scoreless relief innings against UT Martin, April 1... walked two and recorded two outs against Belmont, April 3... allowed one run in one inning of work against Middle Tennessee, April 11, his first run allowed since March 13 at Memphis (4.1 innings, 6 appearances)... did not allow a run in two outings (1.2 innings pitched) of Murray State series... surrendered two runs on three hits in one inning at Middle Tennessee, April 18, ending a streak of nine appearances (7 innings) without allowing a run... threw 1.1 scoreless innings at Tennessee, April 24... suffered through three-run outing against Jacksonville State, April 28, recording only two outs, allowing three hits and walking one... closed Govs Game 1 win at SIU Edwardsville, May 4, allowing two runs on three hits in ninth inning... appeared in relief at Evansville, May 9, and allowed four runs on six hits and three walks in 1.2 innings... appeared in relief, May 15, at Belmont and allowed two runs in 1.1 innings... threw scoreless ninth inning in Tennessee Tech series opener, May 17... recorded two outs at Oregon, June 3, in final game of NCAA Tournament's Eugene Regional.
As a junior in 2011 – Edlin has made 25 appearances this season, all in relief… ended campaign with 3-0 record and 5.59 ERA with 24 strikeouts in 29.0 innings pitched… was Govs No.2 set-up man in OVC play – usually pitching between starter and reliever Mike Hebert – and finished with a 2-0 record and 1.42 ERA in 13 OVC outings… made five appearances in first month before OVC season opening, allowing one earned run in 6.1 innings… inherited two runners with one out in Murray State series opener and did not allow a run to score… pitched 2.1 hitless innings in Game 2 of Murray State series… threw 4.1 innings of scoreless relief – running streak to 10 innings without allowing a run – against Eastern Illinois, notching victory in Game 3 of series with 2.2-inning outing… had rough patch in three-outing span, April 9-13, surrendering seven runs, allowing 11 of 17 batters faced to reach base and allowing all five inherited runners to score… did not allow a run in two outings (2.0 IP) at Jacksonville State… blew save opportunity against Lipscomb, April 19, allowing game-tying run in ninth, but Govs scored in their half of the frame giving him the victory… surrendered lead with four-run outing at Belmont, April 26… pitched 1.1 innings in Game 2 of Morehead Sate series, allowing one run and helped stem Eagles early scoring drive to allow Govs comeback victory… season’s third victory came in longest relief outing, a 4.2-inning effort at Morehead State, May 1, in which he allowed no runs and four hits… struggled with putting men on base – 16 hits and five walks allowed leading to seven earned runs – in six outings (9.1 IP) between April 19 and May 8… recorded just one out in each of two relief appearances against UT Martin, May 20-21, including a one-pitch out in Game 3… appeared twice during NCAA Tournament’s Atlanta Regional… surrendered three runs in brief outing against Mississippi State, June 4… bounced back with scoreless inning of relief at Georgia Tech, June 5, that included a strikeout.
As a sophomore redshirt in 2010 - Edlin made 13 appearances, including one start, and compiled a 10.12 ERA in 10.2 innings pitched… opened season by striking out the side in relief outing against Illinois State, Feb.  19… did not allow a run in three consecutive appearances (2.2 total innings), March 2-5… ended scoreless stretch surrendering a run to SIU Edwardsville, March 7, but struck out two batters in one inning of relief… was tagged for three of his six earned runs in relief in outing at Mississippi, March 10, but worked one complete inning… pieced together 1.2 innings of scoreless relief work over four appearances, March 20-April 6… made first collegiate start at Belmont, April 28, lasting 2.2 innings and allowing six runs on eight hits.
As a freshman in 2009 - Edlin made one appearance, allowing one run over 2.1 innings in relief at Western Kentucky, April 28.

Career Recap: Clarksville Academy
Played under head coach Wade Smith as a shortstop and third baseman for the Cougars… as a senior, batted .552 with 41 RBI and four home runs… had .906 slugging percentage and .642 on-base percentage… named to all-district team in 2006, 2007 and 2008… played baseball, basketball and football for the Cougars.

Charles Ryan Edlin is the son of Charlie and Dianne Edlin… born October 4… has two siblings, Tyler and Ashleigh… named salutatorian of his high school class… a business administration major with a management concentration.
