Austin Peay State University Athletics

2009: Played and started in 16 games as a defender... was the centerback and lone upperclassmen in the defense... looked to for vocal leadership in organizing the defense... played 1437 minutes in the defense, which was fifth-most on the team... Sept. 4 vs. Arkansas-Pine Bluff, had season's only shot -a header off a corner kick... anchored a defense that allowed more than two goals only four times...  played center back and sweeper, limiting opponents to one goal or less on nine occasions.

2008: Played and started in 18 games, as a defender... was named second-team All-OVC... finished with one goal on four shots... actually began the season in the midfield before being moved to defense... Aug. 22  vs. North Dakota State, she scored her season’s only goal, while placing two shots on goal... from there, moved to center-back position and became the defense’s vocal on-field leader... leads all 2009 returners with 1545 minutes-played... played the entirety of all four double-overtime tie games.

2007: Jones played and started in 19 games... as a midfielder she finished with eight shots and three shots on goal... a solid athlete, she ranked third on the team logging 1532 minutes...  Sept. 14 vs. Arkansas-Pine Bluff, Jones recorded a season-high four shots with two shots on goal.

High School: Played four years on the varsity squad and was a three-time team captain... she was twice named “Offensive Most Valuable Player”, twice named all-region and was selected as the district MVP in her junior season... named “Athlete of the Month” twice by the Sporting Times and was voted the Southern Kentucky “Player of the Year” in 2006... also played basketball where she was a two-year captain and “Defensive MVP”.
 
Personal: Daughter of Jeff Jones and Beth Kellerman... born Feb. 12, 1989... majoring in psychology... named to Athletics Director's Honor Roll three times (Fall 2007, Spring 2008 and Fall 2009), Dean's List twice (Fall 2007 and Fall 2009) and OVC Commissioner's Honor Roll for the 2007-08 year.
