2025 | Austin Peay

  • Appeared 17 times on the mound for the Govs, starting one game, finishing the season with a 2-1 win-loss record and a 7.24 ERA over 27.1 innings of work.
  • Made his Governors debut against New Mexico (Feb. 14) in the season opener at the MLB Desert Invitational, where he threw 1.1 innings in relief, striking out three batters and not allowing a run to score.
  • Notched his first win against Purdue Fort Wayne (Feb. 22), where he threw his single-game best 4.2 innings in relief, while striking out a pair of batters and holding the Mastodons scoreless.
  • His second win came in his next appearance against Eastern Illinois (Feb. 28), where he threw 2.2 innings and struck out three batters, while allowing just one run to score.
  • In three innings of relief, he struck out a single-game best four batters in relief against Eastern Kentucky (April 4).

2024 | The Citadel

  • Had 17 appearances and 14 starts on the mound as the Friday starter for the Diamond Dogs.
  • Finished the season with a 3-6 record with an accumulated ERA of 6.23 on 77 hits and 33 walks for 45 earned runs in 65 innings.
  • Struck out a total of 44 batters for a 6.09 K/9 on the year.
  • Nabbed his first win of the season against St. Bonaventure (February 16) after six innings of work, striking out three batters and allowing just two hits.
  • In his next appearance, going up against Akron (February 23), he tallied his second win after going six deep, striking out five, and allowing one earned run.
  • His next scoreless outing came against USC Upstate (April 13), where he went four innings, striking out four, allowing three walks, and a pair of hits in the 12-2 win.
  • Put in three perfect innings of work against Presbyterian (May 12) to strike out four of the nine batters he faced in the 3-1 victory for his last win of the season.

2023 | Walters State Community College

  • Started ten games on the mound for the Senators in 14 appearances, finishing the season with a 6-2 record with a 5.83 ERA.
  • In his first appearance of the season, he put in three innings of relief work and struck out seven while only allowing one hit.
  • Nabbed a win from Wallace State Community College-Dothan (February 12) for his first of the season after 3.1 innings of work to start the game, striking out four and allowing three earned runs.
  • Tallied double-digit strikeouts in a game against USC Union (March 8) for the first time in his career, striking out ten batters in six innings to get the win in the 8-4 victory.
  • Matched his career-high strikeouts in a game in his last outing of the season versus Chattanooga State Community College (May 12), striking out ten in 6.2 innings.

2022 | Walters State Community College

  • The two-way appeared 12 times on the mound in relief, throwing 14 innings and finishing the year with a 5.79 ERA and batted .360 with a .471 OBP while collecting seven RBI.
  • Struck out 16 batters over the course of the season, allowing nine earned runs on 15 hits and six walks.
  • Came into the game at USC Salkehatchie (January 28) to pinch hit in the seventh inning, hitting an RBI double to begin his collegiate career.
  • Made his pitching debut against USC Salkehatchie (January 29), where he closed out the game, throwing the final inning for the Senators after facing four batters in the 11-0 win.
  • Threw an inning of relief at Roane State Community College (April 8) to strike out three of the five batters he faced.
  • Struck out a season-high five batters against Cowley County Community College (June 2) after throwing 2.1 innings in relief.
  • Had a pair of multi-hit games against San Jacinto College-North and WVU Potomac State College (February 12 & 26).

Prep Career

  • Prepped at Science Hill High School as a two-way shortstop and pitcher under head coach Ryan Edwards, where he batted just under .380, and went 8-0 on the mound.
  • Helped lead his team to State in his sophomore and junior years.

  • Landon Scott Slemp is the son of Debbie Ladd and Scott Slemp.
  • Birthday is October 29.
  • His father, Scott, played baseball at Walters State CC and King College.
