As a freshman in 2025:

• Started 12 matches, while playing in all 18 and logging 962 minutes for the Govs.
• Fired a total of 14 shots, which was the third-most on the team, and took eight shots on goal, which was tied for the second-most.
• Made her collegiate debut at Vanderbilt (Aug. 14), where she logged 15 minutes of action.
• Played a season-high 77 minutes at Lipscomb (Sept. 28), where she landed one shot on goal.
• Scored her first-career goal at North Alabama (Oct. 2) with an equalizer in the 49th minute of the match.

Career Recap: Stephen T. Badin High School

A four-year letterman at Stephen T. Badin High School under head coach Chris Slusher… Helped lead her team to three District Championships and two regional runner-up finishes… Earned All-City and All-District honors twice, also earning All-State honors her senior year… Scored 23 career goals with 19 assists… Also played basketball and competed in cross-country and track at STBHS… School record holder in both cross-country and the two-mile in track… Named League Runner of the Year in cross-country and was also named All-Ohio twice… Played club ball for Cincinnati United Premier GA under coaches Michael Litvack and Kurt Fischer.

Abigail Lynne Mathews is the daughter of Jeff and Andrea Mathews… Has three siblings: Sam, Owen, and Maura… Her father, Jeff, ran cross-country at Belmont (1993-97)… Her brother, Sam, played baseball at Marietta College and the University of Milwaukee (2019-23)… Her brother, Owen, ran cross-country and track at Northern Kentucky (2021-25)… Born Feb. 8.
