As a senior in 2024:

• Did not see action.

As a junior in 2023:

• Started in all 12 matches she appeared in, playing a total of 1,038 minutes on the Govs’ defensive line and playing all 90 minutes nine times.
• Tallied a shot on goal against Morehead State, Sept. 3.
• Tallied her lone point of the season on Kasidy Schenk’s 52nd-minute goal at Jacksonville, Sept. 21.

As a sophomore in 2022:

• Started 11 matches in her 12 appearances.
• Finished 10th on the team with 1,013 minutes, despite missing six matches. Went the distance seven times.
• Fired a career-high four shots against Jacksonville, Oct. 6.
• Tallied three shots and one shot on goal against North Florida, Oct. 9.
• Eighth on the team with 12 shots.
• Helped lead a defensive unit that posted six shutouts – tied for the fourth most in a single season in program history. 

As a freshman in 2021:

• One of two Governors to start all 17 matches, she played 1,441 minutes – the second-most on the team.
• Played a season-high 110 minutes in 1-1 draws against Evansville, Sept. 9; North Dakota, Sept. 23; and Tennessee Tech, Oct. 14.
• Logged 76 minutes and helped the Governors’ defense hold Alabama A&M, Sept. 16, to just two shots – with no shots on goal – in a 3-0 victory.  
• Played all 90 minutes in a 3-0 shutout win against Eastern Illinois, Oct. 21.

Career Recap: Cherokee Trail HS
Prepped at Cherokee Trail High School, where she missed her junior season due to the COVID-19 pandemic and her senior season because of an injury… as a sophomore, she scored 15 goals and dished out seven assists, helping lead the Cougars to the 5A Colorado High School Activities Association quarterfinals… played club soccer for the Colorado Rapids of the ECNL, where she was a four-time state champion and the 2017 Colorado State Cup MVP.

Clara Ann Heistermann is the daughter of Richard and Tricia Heistermann … has two siblings, Caleb and Cole… born August 26… a chemistry major with a concentration in biochemistry.
