Jake Wyman

Jake Wyman joined the Lady Govs during the summer as a volunteer assistant for the 2011 season.

Wyman brings more than three years as a goalkeeper coach at Division II Lander University as well as two years as head coach at Emerald High School, in Greenwood, S.C.

While at Emerald, Wyman's team's advanced to state tournament twice, finishing seventh in 2010 and earning a fifth-place finish in 2011. The Vikings also won a pair of region championships and Wyman was named the region's 2011 Coach of the Year.

That success led to him being named the women's assistant coach at Lander. Wyman's focus was aimed at goalkeepers and maintaining the team's strength and conditioning regiment. In three years, the Bearcats posted 23 shutouts, while allowing 54 goals for a 1.13 goals-against-average.

Wyman, a member of the National Soccer Coaches Association of America, holds a United States Soccer Federation Class B License, which he obtained during Spring 2014. He also owns a physical education degree from Lander and an exercise science degree from Coker College, where he was a four-year starter.
