Career Recap: Austin Peay

As a senior in 2024:

• Austin Peay’s starting goalkeeper in six games where she played all 90 minutes in each appearance.
• Helped lead Austin Peay to a 1-1 draw at North Florida (Oct. 3) in her first start of the season, making two saves on 10 shots faced.
• Earned her first of three wins in a 4-1 victory at Jacksonville (Oct. 6), making four saves.
• Led the Governors to their second-straight win in a 2-1 victory against Stetson where she made four saves.
• Had a season-high five saves against Florida Gulf Coast (Oct. 13).
• Her final appearance between the pipes came in a 1-1 draw at Queens (Oct. 17), where she made a pair of saves.
• Finished her Austin Peay career with 127 saves, the seventh-most by an APSU goalkeeper in program history, while her 4.54 saves per game are the second-best mark in program history.
• Her 1.61-career goals-against average, .747-career save percentage, 27 starts, and five shutouts also rank eighth all-time in program history.

As a junior in 2023:

• Austin Peay’s starting goalkeeper across all 21 matches. One of two players to start every match.
• Second on the team in minutes with 1,864 which were 35th among Division I goalkeepers.
• Her 109 saves finished 12th in Division I, third in the Atlantic Sun Conference, and third in program history.
• Her 5.19 saves per game were best for third in the ASUN and 51st nationally.
• Helped lead Austin Peay to its most wins since 2018 with five.
• Earned her first-career start in the opener against UT Martin, Aug. 17, tallying three saves on 10 shots faced.
• Became the second-fastest goalkeeper in program history to earn a shutout victory, accomplishing such in her second-career start against Lindenwood, Aug. 20.
• Earned her second win of the season in a seven-save outing against Morehead State, Sept. 3.
• Helped lead Austin Peay to a 2-1 victory against Bellarmine in the ASUN opener, Sept. 14, with eight saves, the most by an APSU goalkeeper in four seasons. 
• Saved a career-high 11 shots in a scoreless draw at Stetson, Oct. 8, which are the 12th-most in a single match in program history and the most by an APSU goalkeeper since 2017.
• Posted back-to-back scoreless draws against Stetson and Kennesaw State, Oct. 12, while recording a total of 20 saves between the two matches.
• Tallied seven saves in the first round of the 2023 ASUN Women’s Soccer Championship against Kennesaw State, Oct. 26, which helped lead the Govs’ to their first postseason advancement in a decade. 
• Also made Austin Peay’s first of three penalty kicks against Kennesaw State in the ASUN Championship. 

As a sophomore in 2022:

• Made her collegiate debut in an 18-minute outing against Eastern Kentucky, Oct. 2.

As a freshman in 2021:

• Did not see action.

Career Recap: Hendersonville HS
A four-year starter in goal at Hendersonville High School, she was named a 10-AAA All-District Team selection three times in her prep career… was twice named to the District 10-AAA All-Tournament squad and led the Commandos to four-straight District Championships, a 2019 region title, and a pair of regional runner-up finishes – one of which saw her named the District 10-AAA Goalkeeper MVP… played her club soccer for the Tennessee Soccer Club 2002 of the ECNL.

Personal
Katherine Elizabeth Bahn is the daughter of Stuart and Amy Bahn… has three siblings, Gabriel, Lucas, and Joshua... her brother, Gabriel, played club hockey at Eastern Kentucky and her brother, Lucas, currently plays hockey at the University of Alabama in Huntsville… born December 25… a criminal justice major.
