Biography
2009: Played in 11 games, starting 8, at midfielder/defender... a vocal leader on the field with the ability to cut the corner... battled injuries throughout the season... finished with three shots, two on goal... Sept. 18 at Middle Tennessee, fired two shots including one on goal played more than 100 minutes in back-to-back games; Sept. 27 vs. Eastern Kentucky and Oct. 2 at Southeast Missouri... Oct. 4 at Eastern Illinois, played the full 90 minutes in a 1-0 road loss.
2008: Played in 18 games, starting 14, as a midfielder/defender... named the team’s Most Improved Player... finished the season with four shots, one on goal, for a .250 shots-on-goal percentage... Oct. 12 vs. VMI, had a season-best three shots... played the full 90 minutes in four games (Sept. 5 vs Chattanooga, Oct. 10 vs Tennessee Tech, Oct. 12 vs VMI and Oct. 24 at Murray State)... Oct. 19 vs. Eastern Illinois, played 110 minutes in the Lady Govs double-overtime tie.
2007: Burchett sat out due to a season ending injury.
High School: Was a five-year starter at Clarksville Academy... she was a three-year team captain, named team “Most Valuable Player” three times... was named All-District 10A-AA four times...posted 15 goals and two assists in sophomore season and was named the district’s MVP... scored 21 goals and recorded 10 assists in her junior season... her senior season, Burchett scored 27 goals and recorded 11 assists... she was named the district’s “Offensive MVP” and was selected to the A-AA All-State team... also was a two-year team captain and all-district three times in basketball.
Personal: Named to the Athletics Directors Honor Roll and the Dean's List three times (Fall 2007, Spring 2007 and Fall 2009).
