AT AUSTIN PEAY…

2011 (Junior Season)

  • Made 10 appearances (26 sets played) and six starts
  • Recorded season-high six kills in opener against Alabama (Aug. 26)
  • Had six digs and seven points at Morehead State (Sept. 17)

2010 (Sophomore Season)

  • Played in 25 matches (58 sets), starting in four contests
  • Despite seeing limited action during season finished fifth on team with 93 kills (1.60 kills per set) and posted a .309 attack percentage
  • 59 of season’s 93 kills came in Ohio Valley Conference play (1.84 kills per set)
  • Scored season high 10 kills (no errors, .455 attack percentage) against UT Martin, Sept. 18
  • Made first career start at Morehead State, Oct. 26, and recorded three kills in three sets (six attempts)
  • Season’s second start led to eight-kill performance in APSU’s three-set win at Southeast Missouri, Nov. 6
  • Posted five kills in Lady Govs OVC Tournament clinching victory at Morehead State, Nov. 20
  • Scored nine kills coming off bench at Louisville, Nov. 27, posting a .381 attack percentage
  • Had four kills in NCAA Tournament start against Illinois, Dec. 3

2009 (Freshman Season)

  • Played in 14 matches (18 sets)
  • Recorded two kills in three matches – including both Southeast Missouri matches, Sept. 25 and Oct. 24, and against UT Martin, Nov. 13
AT ANDERSON COUNTY HS…
  • Under head coach Marcia Wade, Sain was a three-time (2006-08) first-team Class A/AA All-State selection by the Tennessee Sports Writers Association. She was a member of four teams that reached the state tournament, twice finishing as runners-up (2005 and 2007) and once in third place (2006). Sain was a state all-tournament selection as a member of the 2007 state runner-up squad.
  • Also an impressive track and field athlete winning the 2007 TSSAA A-AA state titles in both the pentathlon and triple jump, also finishing second in the high jump that season. She was responsible for 37 of her team’s 58½ points in 2007 state runner-up finish. Had the state’s highest pentathlon score in 2008 sectionals (3,002) but could not finish pentathlon at state championship due to injury.
