As a graduate transfer in 2018-19: Led the Austin Peay reserve unit with 16 points on 6-of-12 shooting in the opener against Oakland City... scored nine points and hit a number of big shots off the bench to help the Govs force overtim against USF... productive first start as a Gov with 16 points against Central Connecticut... earned all-tournament honors at the Montego Bay portion of the Jamaica Classic... sank four shots from beyond the arc to help Austin Peay pull off a road overtime win at Troy... Scored a dozen once again in his fifth consecutive start, this time on the road at Alabama A&M... Career-high five steals to go along with 14 points against Calvary... scored 100th point as a Gov as part of a nine-point effort against Arkansas... came up huge in the OVC opener against Eastern Kentucky, scoring a career-high 25 points and nailing seven three-pointers, most by a Gov since 2016... filled the stat sheet at Southeast Missouri with 11 points, five rebounds, three steals and a trio of 3-pointers... averaged 10.0 points, 3.7 rebounds, 3.0 steals and 2.7 three-pointers on 52.6 percent (10-of-19) shooting from Jan. 10-17.
Prior to Austin Peay: Spent two seasons at Adams State, averaging 12.4 points on 45.7 percent shooting as a junior last season as the Grizzlies advanced to the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Tournament semifinals… versatile wing hit 41.9 percent from beyond the arc and 83.9 percent from the free-throw line, finishing third in the league in three-pointers (72), ninth in three-pointers per game (2.25) and eighth in steals (43), ranking 159th across all Division II in steals and 111th in made three-pointers… In his first season at Adams State, averaged 12.3 points in an injury-shortened season, but displayed his trademark shooting with excellent percentages (47.8 percent from the floor, 41.9 percent from three, 86.1 percent from the charity stripe) in 15 contests after redshirting the previous year… a prep standout at Corona del Sol High School in Tempe, averaging 12 points, seven rebounds and two steals during a prep career that saw the Aztecs win three consecutive Arizona Class 6A state championships, with Givens earning 2014 All-State honorable mention honors. Championships seemed to follow Givens during his prep career; he also was a state track and field champion with Corona del Sol in 2014.
