2024 | Austin Peay

  • Played in all 56 games for the Govs in the ’24 season finishing the year batting .405 which led the ASUN.
  • Also led the ASUN with 96 hits which helped his contribution to a .484 OBP.
  • Tallied 13 home runs and 55 RBI while also collecting 21 doubles and a triple to give himself a .667 slugging percentage.
  • Ranked nationally as the fourth toughest batter to strike out as he averaged a strikeout every 16.9 at bats.
  • Collected a double in each of the first three games of the season against Western Illinois (February 16-18) where he went 7-for-14 in the series.
  • Had a 3-for-4 day at the plate against Mississippi State (February 20) hitting his first home run of the year and picking up 3 RBI.
  • Went 4-for-5 versus Maryland Eastern Shore (February 23)
  • Bested his previous career-best RBI in a game by driving in eight against Lipscomb (March 16) in his 4-for-4 performance which included a triple and a home run.
  • Went 4-for-7 in the ASUN Championship hitting a home run while collecting an RBI and a pair of runs to cap time with the Govs.

2023 | Austin Peay

  • Played and started 57 games in his first season with Govs, finishing the season batting .308 with 24 doubles, 35 RBI, and a team-best 28 walks.
  • Along with teammate Clayton Gray, he finished the season ranked 11th nationally and led the ASUN Conference with 24 doubles.
  • Ranked second in the ASUN Conference and 41st nationally among the toughest batters to strike out, averaging a strikeout every 10.7 at-bats.
  • Made Governors debut in a start at shortstop against Southern Illinois (Feb. 18) and hit a double as part of a 2-for-3, four RBI outing.
  • Hit first APSU home run at Dallas Baptist (Feb. 25).
  • During the Govs week in Evansville (March 7-11), batted .529 (9-for-17) with four doubles.
  • Belted season’s second home run in a 3-for-4, three RBI outing at Liberty (March 25).
  • Hit three doubles in a 3-for-6 outing against UT Martin (April 4) to cap a stretch of seven games that saw him record seven doubles (March 25-April 4).
  • Drove in a career-best four RBI against WKU (April 25) with a sac fly and a three-run double.
  • Opened Tennessee game (May 9) with doubles in first two at-bats, finishing day 2-for-5 at the plate.
  • Closed season with an RBI in his last four games and batted .333 (4-for-12) with four RBI during the ASUN Baseball Championship.

2022 | Chabot College

  • Appeared in 38 games, batting .325 with 12 doubles, 22 RBI, and 33 runs scored with 18 stolen bases.
  • A Second Team All-Coast North Conference selection.
  • Had six consecutive two-hit games (Feb. 15-25), batting .545 (12-of-22) with three doubles, seven RBI, and three walks.
  • Pieced together a 10-game hit streak (March 24-April 14). He batted .484 (16-of-33) with four doubles, a triple, and a home run.
  • Went 4-for-7 with two runs scored at West Valley (April 16).

Prep Career

  • Was an infielder for head coach Kevin Stanley at Northgate High School.
  • Batted .337 as a junior with 21 RBI in 25 games and was a DAL Foothill Second Team All-Conference selection.
  • Debuted on varsity team as a sophomore and batted .338 with 11 RBI and 17 runs scored in 24 games.

  • Jonathan Michael Gazdar is the son of Michael and Teri Gazdar.

  • Has two brothers: Michael and Christian.
  • His brother, Christian, played college baseball and finished his career at Chapman University (Calif.).
  • His brother, Brandon, played baseball at Los Medanos College and currently a professional golfer.
