CLARKSVILLE—Senior center Tearra Banks, of the women’s basketball team, has been named the Copies in a Flash APSU Athlete of the Week.

Banks began her week with a flourish, dominating Arkansas-Pine Bluff with a career-high 34 points and 11 rebounds on 15-of-18 shooting as the Govs improved to 4-1—their best start since 2002.

Although held to two points in the opener of the UCF Thanksgiving Classic against Saint Bonaventure, Banks still contributed eight rebounds and she finished the week with another double-double—10 points, 10 boards—that was the 10^th of her Austin Peay career. For the week, she averaged 15.3 points and 9.7 rebounds, shooting 57.6 percent (19-for-33) from the floor.
