Clarksville, Tenn.– Sophomore forward Terry Taylor, of the Austin Peay State University men’s basketball team, has been named the Copies in a Flash APSU Athlete of the Week.
Over his last four games, Taylor has been a beast, averaging 20.0 points on 61.1 percent (33-of-54) shooting and chipping in with 7.0 rebounds for good measure. He began this stretch with a career-high 32-point performance against Purdue Fort Wayne in the Govs’ home nonconference finale, Dec. 15, earning both OVC Player of the Week and Tennessee Sports Writers Association Player of the Week honors.
He was named MVP of the St. Pete Shootout after leading the Govs to wins against Campbell and Liberty, posting another 32-point outing on 12-of-17 shooting and splashing in four threes against the Flames. He earned another OVC Player of the Week accolade for that outburst, and closed out this sterling stretch of play with eight points and 10 boards at SEC foe Arkansas.
