Clarksville, Tenn. – Senior center Chris Horton, of the Austin Peay State University men’s basketball team, has been named the Copies in a Flash APSU Athlete of the Week.

Horton averaged a double-double last week in two games, posting 14.5 points, 16.5 rebounds and 4.0 blocks in wins against Oakland City and Samford. He also shot 45.5 percent from the floor (10-for-22).

The Atlanta native hit the boards hard last week, with a season-high 19 against Oakland City. He now ranks third nationally in rebounds per game (12.9) and is tied for second in total blocks (90).

The Copies in a Flash APSU Athlete of the Week is selected by the APSU Sports Information staff each Wednesday during the academic year. Copies in a Flash, of Clarksville, sponsors the award.

Other notable performances by Austin Peay athletes included:

  • Redshirt freshman guard Falon Baker, of the women’s basketball team, scored a career-high 20 points on 7-of-10 shooting—including six three-pointers—against Vanderbilt and averaged 11.7 points in three games last week.
