Clarksville, Tenn. – Senior center Chris Horton, of the Austin Peay State University men’s basketball team, has been named the Copies in a Flash APSU Athlete of the Week.

The Atlanta native earned adidas® Ohio Valley Conference Men’s Basketball Player of the Week honors after averaging 19.5 points and 13.5 rebounds last week, leading the Govs to a road win at Troy, Saturday.

Horton tossed in 21 points on 7-of-11 shooting, grabbing 13 boards and blocking five shots. It was his second 20-point outing in 2015-16. The weekly selection from the conference office marks the second in his APSU career—he earned Player of the Week honors for the opening week of the 2014-15 campaign.

The Copies in a Flash APSU Athlete of the Week is selected by the APSU Sports Information staff each Wednesday during the academic year. Copies in a Flash, of Clarksville, sponsors the award.

• Junior Chancis Jones, of the track and field team, placed third in a stacked long jump field at the Vanderbilt Indoor Opener, hitting a personal-best 5.86m (19-2.75) that bested every indoor attempt by a Governor during the 2014-15 season.
