Box Score RICHMOND, Ky. - Austin Peay State University's baseball team
broke out the bats and starter Casey Delgado threw a complete game in an 18-2
Ohio Valley Conference victory against Eastern Kentucky, Sunday afternoon at
Raymond C. Hand Park.
Austin Peay (24-15, 11-3 OVC) scored 11 runs in the first
four innings, batting around in both the third and fourth innings. Second
baseman Jordan Hankins had a two-run single in the fourth while third baseman
Greg Bachman added a two-run home run in the fifth.
Delgado (4-3) took advantage of the generous run support to

game during the 2008 season. He surrendered eight hits and two walks while
striking out seven. Delgado allowed an unearned run in the fourth and held EKU
without a run until the ninth inning.
The Govs weren't done scoring with those 11 runs, taking
advantage of Colonels miscues for two runs in the seventh and four runs in the
eighth.
Austin Peay tied a season-high with 18 hits, with nine
different players recording a hit. Hankins finished the day 3-for-5 with three
RBI and catcher Matt Wollenzin went 3-for-4 with three RBI.

starter Brent Cobb (2-1) suffering the loss after allowing six runs on eight
hits over three innings.

effort with a 2-for-3 outing.
