Horton, Betran earn College Sports Madness honors

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – College Sports Madness has named Austin Peay State University sophomore center Chris Horton second-team All-Ohio Valley Conference and senior guard Travis Betran fourth-team.

The 6-8 Horton was one of the OVC's most improved players in 2013-14, averaging 13.2 points and 9.5 rebounds per game. He also led the OVC in blocked shots with 92, the second straight season he has swatted away at least 90 shots. He had also 13 double-doubles. He is ranked nationally in the Top 20 in rebounds, blocked shots and double-doubles this season.

Betran started every game in his two-year career and finished his career with 1,008 points. He averaged 15.9 points per game in his final season, scoring 20 or more points 11 times his senior season. In fact, he scored 20 or more five times in his last six games, including a career-high 32 points in his career finale against UT Martin, last Saturday.
