BOWLING GREEN, Fla. – Led by a five-under 68 from Jakob Falk Schollert, Austin Peay State University men's golf team shot a two-under 290 in the final round of the AllState Streamsong Invitational, Wednesday, to finish the tournament in 10th place with a three-round score of even-par 876 on the Black Course at Streamsong Resort.
Austin Peay's even-par score finished nine shots behind James Madison and Western Kentucky, who were tied for eighth place, and 14 shots back of seventh-place Wichita State. The Governors also beat 11th-place USC Upstate by 27 shots and were 31 strokes better than Tennessee Tech.
Kennesaw State won the tournament with an aggregate score of 31-under 845 and Lipscomb's Will Holan was the individual medalist with a score of 16-under 203.
Falk Schollert used a five-birdie, bogey-free round to post the best score by a Governor in the event. Falk Schollert picked up 19 spots on the leaderboard in the final round and finished tied for 30th with a score of one-under 218.
Seth Smith was the Govs top finisher after using three birdies and just one bogey to shoot a two-under 71 in the third round. Smith finished the tournament tied for 12th with an aggregate score of six-under 213.
Daniel Love carded four birdies and posted a one-over 74 in the third round. Love wrapped up the tournament in 34th place with a score of one-over 220.
Rounding out the lineup for Austin Peay, Logan Spurrier shot a four-over 77 in the third round and finished the tournament tied for 44th with a score of six-over 225.
Smith finished the tournament ranked fourth in the field in par-five scoring at nine-under par. Love also ranked second in the field in pars made with 39.
