Birmingham, Ala. – Austin Peay State University's track and field team concluded its stay at Alabama-Birmingham's UAB Spring Invite with 10 total Top 5 Finishes, Saturday, at the UAB Spring Invite.
On the final day of the event, the Governors posted Top 5 marks in the 400-meter dash, 400-meter hurdles, 5000-meter, shot put, a pair of triple jumps, and a 400-meter relay, in addition to strong finishes on the opening day of the meet.
The Governors' Taylin Segree placed third in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 55.27. Thar mark ranks within the Top 100 in the NCAA this season. Busiwa Asinga also earned a Top 3 finish in the 400-meter hurdles, along with Emma Tucker's fifth-place finish in the shot put with a 11.81-meter toss.
Remaining in the field, Ja'Kyah Montgomery and Emmani Roberts also earned Top 5 finishes in the triple jump with 10.77 and 10.69-meter leaps, earning a fourth and fifth-place spot, respectively.
Heading back to the track, Austin Peay concluded the UAB Spring Invite with McGee, Alexis Arnett, Alijanae Cole, and Taylin Segree, earning a third-place finish in in the 4x400-meter relay with a time of 3:500.13 time.
