CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – With the baseball extending its winning streak to a national-best 12 games and softball earning another ASUN series win, Austin Peay State University's Athletics Department and Five Star Radio Group present the weekly Austin Peay Coaches Show with head baseball coach Roland Fanning and head softball coach Kassie Stanfill and 6 p.m., Monday, at Buffalo Wild Wings on Wilma Rudolph Boulevard.

Student-athletes Sammie Shelander and Lyndon Glidewell also will join host Brian Rives to recap the fourth weekend of ASUN Conference play and look ahead to another week on the diamond for both teams.

Inclement weather in the area forced the Governors softball team to hosting Bellarmine at Middle Tennessee's Blue Raider Softball Field in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. The Governors opened the series with an 8-0, run-rule victory against the Knights, Friday, before splitting Saturday's doubleheader.

After dropping a 4-3 decision to BU in Saturday's opening game, the Governors again cruised to an 8-0 win against the Knights to capture their 30th win of the season behind a two home run performance by Shelander.

Up next, the Governors face rival Murray State in a 3 p.m., Tuesday game at Cathi Maynard Park before then facing North Alabama in a three-game series, Saturday-Sunday, in Clarksville.

Fanning and the baseball team earned three-straight wins in their home ASUN series against Eastern Kentucky and now are owners of the longest winning streak in the country at 12 games, a streak that began March 18.

Austin Peay opened the series with a Friday doubleheader, earning a 10-9 win against EKU in the first game and cruising to a 14-4, seven-inning victory to close the day's events.

The Governors then secured the series sweep with a seven-inning, 12-2, Sunday win at Raymond C. Hand Park.

Austin Peay returns to the diamond late r this week when they host Middle Tennessee in a 6 p.m., Wednesday game in Clarksville before then trekking to Florence, Alabama for a three-game series against North Alabama.

Presented weekly, the Austin Peay Coaches Show features head baseball coach Roland Fanning, head softball coach Kassie Stanfill, and various assistant coaches and student-athletes. Fans can join Fanning, Stanfill, and Rives every Monday at Buffalo Wild Wings, which returns for its sixth season as the host of the Austin Peay Coaches Show.

The Austin Peay Coaches Show is broadcast live from Buffalo Wild Wings, airs live on ESPN Clarksville (104.1 FM / 540 AM), and is simulcast online.
