CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Austin Peay State University women's golf team will conclude the fall portion of the 2026-27 season with a visit to Jonesboro, Arkansas for the Lady Red Wolves Classic, Oct. 12-13.
The Govs will make what's become a regular pilgrimage to Sage Meadows Country Club, where Austin Peay will make its eighth-straight visit for Arkansas State's fall tournament. Last year, the Govs finished 10th as a team, led by Jillian Breedlove and Jordin Cowing, who both tied for 37th.
This year, Austin Peay and host Arkansas State will be joined on the 6,164-yard, par-72 course by Central Arkansas, Illinois State, Little Rock, Memphis, Murray State, Morehead State, Samford, Southern Illinois, Troy, UAB and West Georgia.
Breedlove and Cowing will lead the way again for the Govs this week after finishing comfortably inside the top-10 last week at the Butler Fall Invitational. They'll be joined in the lineup by senior Abby Hirtzel, sophomore Ella Arnzen and junior Abby Jimenez, with sophomore Makenna Cox making her third-straight appearance as the individual.
Opening-round action begins at 8:30 a.m., Monday, with the Govs scheduled to go off alongside Morehead State and West Georgia in a shotgun start on Hole Nos. 7-9. As the individual, Cox will tee off on No. 15.
