CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Austin Peay State University men's golf closes out the fall schedule in the Volunteer State this week, traveling to Johnson City for the Bank of Tennessee Intercollegiate, hosted by ETSU at The Blackthorn Club.
The par-72 Blackthorn Club course will play at 7,147 yards this week. The Govs will take on a stacked field featuring a pair of teams in the top-30 of the initial Scoreboard/Clippd rankings this fall; host ETSU sits in eighth, while Toledo is currently ranked 27th. The Govs, along with that ranked duo, will face student-athletes from East Carolina, Eastern Kentucky, Eastern Michigan, Kent State, Lamar, Mercer, Middle Tennessee, VCU, Virginia Tech and William & Mary.
Reigning United Athletic Conference Men's Golfer of the Week Jack Dyer will lead the Govs into Johnson City, and will spearhead the same lineup that took runner-up honors last week in Jonesboro, Arkansas. Filling out the lineup for the Govs will be junior Parker Elkins, seniors Seth Smith and John Mark Mills and freshman Tyson Seyler, with junior Grady Cox making the journey this week as the individual.
First-round action begins Monday with a 9 a.m. (CT) start; the Govs will begin the three-day event on the back-nine.
