Brookshire Selected in Second Round of G-League Draft by Iowa Wolves

Becomes the First Gov since Chris Horton (2016) to be drafted into NBA G-League

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Austin Peay State University basketball alumus Anton Brookshire became the second APSU alum to be drafted into NBA G-Legue after being selected with the 21st pick in the second round by the Iowa Wolves, Saturday.

A member of head coach Corey Gipson's inaugural class, Brookshire spent three seasons in Clarksville. After redshirting in 2023-24, Brookshire appeared in 62 games across a pair playing seasons for the Governors, averaging 8.4 points and 2.7 assists per game while earned 43 starts in the Red and White.

Brookshire averaged 8.5 points and 2.6 assists across 31 appearances and 23 starts during the 2024-25 season, while also totaling 52 three-pointers and an 88.5% mark from the charity stripe – the second-most efficient season from the stripe in program history. The following season, he averaged 8.4 points, 2.7 assists, and 55 triples, helping the program claim its first Atlantic Sun Conference Regular-Season Championship and the first conference title in program history since 2016.

Brookshire is just the second player in program history to be drafted into the NBA's G-League and the first since Chris Horton was selected fifth overall by the Grand Rapids Drive in the NBA Development League (now known as the G-League).

Brookshire becomes the 49th player in program history to continue their career professionally and will become the third to play in the G-League.
