Clarksville, Tenn. – Sophomore linebacker Antonio Turner, of the Austin Peay State University football team, has been named the Copies in a Flash APSU Athlete of the Week.
Turner recorded a career-high 14 tackles, including 11 solo stops, in the Govs’ 31-27 Homecoming 2014 loss against Tennessee State, Saturday. The Louisville, Ky., native also recorded 1.5 tackles for loss, pushing the Tigers back a total of three yards.
With two games to play, Turner is just two tackles away from surpassing his freshman total of 67. His 7.2 tackles per game rank 12th in the Ohio Valley Conference.
The Copies in a Flash APSU Athlete of the Week is selected by the APSU Sports Information staff each Tuesday during the academic year. Copies in a Flash, of Clarksville, sponsors the award.

- Senior middle blocker Hillary Plybon, of the volleyball team, was the only Lady Gov to reach double-digits kills in both matches last weekend, totaling 11 against Southeast Missouri and 10 against UT Martin. She also led Austin Peay with six block assists on the weekend, including four against the Redhawks.
