CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. ? A six-run fourth inning proved more than enough as Austin Peay State University's baseball team posted an 8-2 victory against Morehead State in Ohio Valley Conference action, Sunday, at Raymond C. Hand Park.
With the win, Austin Peay completes a three-game conference series sweep of Morehead State and improves to 15-13 overall and 5-4 in conference play. The Eagles fall to 8-19 overall and 1-8 in league action.

In the fourth, the Govs used six hits to score their six runs. Catcher

Rafael Hill had a two-run single and Farrar followed with a two-run double. Farrar would go on to score the sixth run after stealing third and scampering home on a throwing error by the MSU catcher.
The two teams would each add a run in the later innings. Morehead State scored following an Austin Peay error put two men in scoring position for designated hitter Michael Bottom's sacrifice fly. The Govs got that run back in the seventh on Farrar's leadoff home run in the seventh.
Mantooth (4-2) picked up the victory after holding MSU to two runs (one earned) on eight hits while striking out seven over seven-plus innings. Farrar was 3-for-4 on the day with three RBI. Catcher

Chad Cunningham each had two hits as the Govs posted 11 hits.
Eagles starter Matt Clark was tagged for the loss after allowing seven runs (six earned) on 10 hits over 3.1 innings. Allen and catcher Casey Branham each had two hits.
Austin Peay returns to action with a 4 p.m. (CT), Tuesday, contest at Tennessee.
