Notes and Quotes: Austin Peay vs. Bresica

Postgame Notes
  • It was Austin Peay's third 100-point game this season, which is the most since the 1990-91 season. In fact, that was head coach Dave Loos' first season at Austin Peay. The Govs are 2-1 in 2010-11 when they score triple digits.
  • The Govs have a season-best three-game winning streak and are now 4-1 in the Dunn Center. It also is Dave Loos' 340th APSU victory, leaving him 10 wins shy of the 350-win mark.
  • TyShwan Edmondson led all scorers with 23 points, marking his second-straight 20-point game and his season's eighth. Edmondson made 10-of-16 shots.
  • The Govs had 30 assists on 39 field goals, with the 30 assists setting a Dunn Center record. The old mark (28) was set against Eastern Kentucky, Feb. 7, 1977. The mark also is the OVC's single-game high this season.
  • Austin Peay made 57.4 percent from the floor. It was the third-straight game for the Govs to shoot better than 50 percent and the seventh time this season. The Govs did it 11 times in 2009-10.
  • Will Triggs had a game-high nine rebounds, which also was a career-high. It was the first time he has led the Govs in rebounding.
  • Austin Peay outrebounded Bresica, 50-33. It was the second time this season the Govs had 50 rebounds in a game, the first coming with 51 at Memphis.

Head Coach Dave Loos Quotes

"We had 30 assists and I think that really shows that our guys stuck with the plan. They played together and made the extra pass. That's a terrific statistic - 30 assists on 39 field goals is a pretty good ratio. I was pleased with that.

It was what it was. It was a good effort on our part. This is part of getting ready to get back in the league. We're going to go two-a-days for the next several days, then we've got Chattanooga, Monday. Then we'll be ready to get back in the league."
