Post-Game Notes: APSU Baseball vs. Tennessee Tech Game 1

TEAM NOTES

Player of the Game: Alex Robles (7.1 IP, 3 H, 3 R (2 ER), BB, 7 K – 2-for-3, RBI, BB)

Austin Peay (12-10, 6-4 OVC) defeated rival Tennessee Tech 9-3 in Game 1 of a key Ohio Valley Conference series on Friday.

The Governors struck for five runs in the first inning, giving starting pitcher Alex Robles more than enough insurance to earn his first victory of the season.

The sophomore right-hander had a no-hitter going up until the sixth inning, retiring 12 straight batters, until a double by Dylan Bosheers ended it.

Logan Gray paced the APSU offense with a 3-for-3 day which included a solo home run in the sixth, his third homer in five games. He also had three RBIs and three runs scored on Friday.
