By the Half

Austin Peay was outshot 11-1 until the 28th minute, when the Governors had a free kick from midfield that landed inside the Trojans' box, which Abby Mathews connected with and put in the back of the net. However, the goal was called back with an offside call, keeping the match scoreless through the remainder of the opening half.
The Trojans did not open the second half the way they did in the opening frame, as the Governors held them to just four shots in the first 14 minutes of the second half. Then, in the 71st minute, Little Rock made an offensive push to force a corner kick, where the Trojans scored an Olimpico goal, but it was also called offside on the corner. But just 10 minutes later, Little Rock had another opportunity to score, as Laney Palmer had an open look from the edge of the box in the center of the pitch, putting the ball just out of reach of Waskiewicz to put the Trojans up by one score.
