Clarksville, Tenn. – Senior Taylor Goodley, of the Austin Peay State University women’s golf team, has been named the Copies in a Flash APSU Athlete of the Week.

The Eldorado, Illinois native placed third at the Fred Marx Invitational in Monroe, Louisiana this week, shooting a 147 (70-77) in the rain-shortened event, her first top-five tournament finish since the 2016 F&M Bank APSU Intercollegiate at Greystone Golf Club.

Goodley led the Govs with seven birdies, while her 4.05 average on par-4 attempts and 2.88 on par-3s were each one shot off the tournament low.

The Copies in a Flash APSU Athlete of the Week is selected by the APSU Sports Information staff each Wednesday during the academic year. Copies in a Flash, of Clarksville, sponsors the award.

Other notable performances by Austin Peay athletes included:

• Senior outside hitter Cecily Gable, of the volleyball team, led the Govs in kills in all three matches last week, against Belmont (19), Tennessee State (17) and Western Kentucky (13), to take over the team lead in kills this season.
• Sophomore wide receiver DeAngelo Wilson, of the football team, finished with 151 all-purpose yards on just eight touches, 127 of which came on five receptions. He also caught two touchdown passes, including a go-ahead score with 3:41 to go in the fourth quarter.
